Teen Killed Attempting To Rob Convenience Store With BB Gun

A teen was shot by police after attempting to rob a convenience store with a BB Gun. The officers rendered first aid until paramedics arrived but the teen was pronounced dead at the scene

Press telegram reports that the detectives had been tracking a dark Nissan Maxima believed to have been involved in other recent robberies when it pulled up behind the 7-Eleven in the 5100 block of Pacific Coast Highway. Griffin got out of the passenger seat and went inside the store, followed by detectives.

Once inside, detectives ordered Griffin to drop the firearm, but he did not and at least one officer fired at the suspect while fearing for the individuals inside the business, police said.

The driver, 22-year-old Devontae Moore, remained in the vehicle and was later arrested by police. Authorities also found property tying the vehicle to the other robberies, police said…
