A sling is as critical to a rifle as a holster is to a pistol! Weapons retention is probably one of the most important things you need to consider when heading into a shoot. Rifle slings are perfect for ensuring a steady and accurate shot. There are many different types two points, one points and even some that can be switched between the two.

What started as a custom design built for his Force Recon platoon during a deployment became a lifelong mission for Travis Haley to build a rifle sling that works around the end user, and not the other way around.

The D3 Rifle Sling can be run in single point or two point configuration and has been designed to transition between the two in moments. The sling includes two, positive locking QD swivels and features Haley’s proven, SDI single hand quick adjustment system.

The sling also debuts a low profile pad, inspired by climbing harnesses created by the world’s leading mountaineering companies. A 5-layer laminated construction sealed with stretch woven materials, the pad provides stability and comfort without adding weight or bulk.

The D3 Rifle Sling is the result of over 15 years of continuous use, revision and improvement, delivering a versatile platform intuitive to the point where the rifle becomes a natural extension of the body.

While 2-point slings are ideal for most situations” there are times” like deploying from a vehicle or fighting in complex structures” when a 1-point sling has a clear advantage. Combining Blue Force Gear’s new polymer Burnsed Socket and patented RED Swivel” the Vickers 221 Sling allows users to switch from 2-point to 1-point mode instantly by pulling on the RED Swivel knob and reinserting it in to the Burnsed Socket at the rear of the receiver. The instantaneous adjustability of the sling is still maintained in both 1 and 2 point modes. Constructed similar to the world’s standard Vickers Combat Applications Sling™” a RED™ Swivel is sewn to the front of the sling towards the muzzle. A standard push button swivel and new molded Burnsed Socket are woven onto the rear allowing full adjustability of the sling for use with or without body armor. The 221™ Sling fits any weapon with two QD sling swivel sockets with the rear socket towards the end of the receiver. For SCARS” Sigs” HKs” or other weapon systems with eyelets at the rear of the receiver” a Universal Wire Loop with Push Button Socket can be added instead of the included push button socket.

Magpul ms3 sling!

Driven by the operational experience of Magpul Core™ instructors, the MS3 Multi-Mission Sling System was designed to give a versatile weapon-retention solution for a multitude of tactical environments and missions. As a standalone product, the rapidly-convertible MS3 allows an operator to leverage the maneuverability of one-point attachment for direct action, or two-point attachment for stability. Single-hand adjustments and quick-release, positive-locking hardware provide flexibility and durability in a truly adaptable sling system. Used in conjunction with the Magpul ASAP® plate (sold separately), the MS3 enables seamless transitions into an array of shooting positions without getting bound or fouled. The MS3 concept allows switching from Weapon Shoulder to Reaction Shoulder for shooting around corners, under vehicles, or to minimize exposure. The MS3 can also increase operator survivability by keeping the weapon in the fight in case of injury to the operator’s shoulder, arm, or hand. The MS3 GEN 2 incorporates a new low profile quick-adjust Slider which minimizes bulk and allows for secure, yet effortless, sling adjustment. Webbing length has also been increased for a comfortable fit with all body types and armor configurations.

Sling Mounting

REAR – Works with the Magpul ASAP® for optimal shoulder transitioning in one-point mode as well as the SGA™ Receiver Sling Mount. Also compatible with many snap-hook style sling loops* and standard or QD sling swivels.
FRONT – Compatible with the Magpul RSA®, MSA™, and Forward Sling Mount, as well as many snap-hook style sling loops* and standard or QD sling swivels for use in two-point mode.

* Snap-hook style sling loops with an inner diameter of at least 3/8″ are required, but 9/16″ and larger will provide full range of motion.
