Some people decided shining a green laser at several aircraft including a News chopper and police chopper was a great idea. Heres the thing. If you blind a pilot they cant see the sintruments they cant see where they are going and now a 60,000 lb aircraft is careening blindly towards the ground and could not only result in the death of those on board but those on the ground as well. We hope to hell they were prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Why? Because like other shit if this becomes a new viral challenge other people are stupid enough to think its harmless fun set the example early.
Shining lasers at aircraft is already a Federal Crime but often goes un-enforced because most aircraft are not outfitted with cameras or sensors that allow for the identification of fucking idiots…

According to KTLA5 police detained a group of people Friday after several aircraft, including KTLA’s Sky5, were struck by laser beams over South Los Angeles on Thursday evening.
The incident began about 10:25 p.m., when both green and red laser beams emanating from the area of Washington Boulevard and Griffith Avenue repeatedly hit Sky 5.
A police helicopter was also allegedly struck by the beams.
A group of people seen shining the lasers drove off before police arrived, but officers soon spotted the car and pulled it over nearby. Three people were taken into custody, and officers were seen taking possession of two laser…
