Teen Shot By Officer Not So Innocent*Graphic*

This may not be for the faint of heart but a teen was shot after she pulled a gun on an officer during a traffic stop. The Suspect rammed the patrol car then made a uturn into oncoming traffic and skidding to a stop in front of the patrol car. Because of the suspects behavior the officer pulled his weapon and upon making contact with the suspect fired his weapon.

Now her family is saying she didn’t have a weapon on her according to KTLA5 S. Lee Merritt, the civil rights attorney retained by Williams’ family, on Thursday said police only found the fake firearm Monday, when they first searched the SUV, three days after the shooting.

“We don’t believe that the weapon played any role in this incident,” Merritt said. “Law enforcement has not indicated that the replica weapon played any role in this incident, and if it did it would have been captured on the bodycam footage.”

Police first publicly confirmed that a replica handgun was found near Williams’ body on Tuesday.

The family has criticized authorities’ handling of the case, saying investigators have lacked transparency and accountability.

Fullerton PD has released the bodycam footage proving otherwise.
