People lost their literal shit in times square last night around 10pm after a motorcycle or car backfired. The subsequent loud noise cause thousands to flee in the opposite direction. But really its no surprise the media has taken every mass shooter event and ran with it make it to sound like its a common occurrence…
and now as a result any popping noise will now send crowds into large dangerous masses of panic. It probably didnt help that someone yelled shooter according to CBS

Well those odds still look like gun deaths are pretty high. According to Business Insider death by motorcycle your odds are 1 in 921, airplane your odds are 1 in 2499, Motor vehicle accident your odds are 1 in 108, Drugs 1 in 72.
Now heres the odds of being in a mass shooting 1 in 11,125.
In 1996 with a population of 260 million and 230 million gun your chances of being killed with a gun was 7 per 100,000 now lets fast forward to 2017 with a grown population 330million with 400 million guns your chances DECREASED to 5.3 per 100,000. The popluation increased 26% and gun crime went down 7.62%
