The suspect was sitting in the back row of the Xscape Movie Theater on Route 9 in Howell on Friday when a mother with her children reportedly witnessed him with his hands down his open pants.
She reported the incident to the theater manager, who asked the man to leave. Police were called, but the man had already left the area.
A surveillance photo of the suspect has been released by authorities (above).
The man is described as heavyset, in his 20s or 30s, wearing a white dress shirt, black pants, and a yarmulke.
