After pleading guilty ‘Glee’ Star commits Suicide!

He wouldn’t have lasted very long in prison anyway!

Former Glee actor Mark Salling has died at 35. Salling had recently pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and was set to be sentenced in March.

Early on the morning of January 30th, an unnamed member of Salling’s family came to the Sunland LAPD station to report him as a missing person, according to TMZ. After a search, Salling’s body was found hanging from a tree near a baseball field. Although there were homicide detectives at the scene, an officer who was not at liberty to speak to the public told TMZ that it is believed to be a hanging suicide.

Salling had been under investigation since 2015, when his then-girlfriend spoke to authorities. After he was arrested, police found over 25,000 images and 600 videos of child pornography on his computer.

In December, he made a plea deal with the prosecution. His sentencing was scheduled for March 7th, and he was expected to receive a sentence between four and seven years, as opposed to a potential 20 years without the plea deal.

Salling was most famous for his role in Glee, the 2009 series about high school students who join a glee club. He played Noah “Puck” Puckerman, the bad-boy football player who eventually joins the club. He also had roles in 1996’s Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering, the 1999 season of Chuck Norris’ series Walker, Texas Ranger and the 2014 movie Rocky Road.

In an email to The Associated Press, attorney Michael J. Proctor confirmed that Salling had died. “Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment,” Proctor said.

“He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother,” he added. “The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.”
