This is probably the second or third video showing this style of attack in which the criminals hide inside a parked car and wait for an unsuspecting victim to walk by. In this case the victim was swarmed by several thieves wielding various rifles and pistols!
It is imperative in todays day and age that you keep your situational awareness in check. Be wary of parked cars who might be ready to make a speedy get away. Look for tell tale signs such as wipers running, running lights, even something simple as motor noise or exhaust being emitted. Is every parked car going to house a threat? Probably not. But its better to be safe than sorry.
Other indicators could include how the occupants are acting. We aren’t saying to stare down some grandma waiting on her groceries in her vehicle. but a quick glimpse to see if the occupants are readying weapons or moving to conceal their faces. If the windows are tinted the front windshield is often not and by the time you are beside the side windows its often too late.
This is exactly the reason we stress that you carry everyday and carry everyhwere. Dont be a fudd. Keep one ready in the chamber. You WILL NOT have time to rack a round should you find yourself in a similar situation.
