We are now receiving word that AR500 Armor Manufacturer has issued a recall.
Some recently supplied level III body armor, including side plates ABS panels and chest plates may be faulty.
The level III+ is not included in this recall according to the company. The affected products have a DATE OF MANUFACTURE of Feb 2016 or March 2016.
If you have product from AR500 that fits these dates STOP USE IMMEDIATELY!
The recall/replacement is happening due to faulty steel that the supplier did not notify AR500 about. Details of the full recall will be announced as soon as it is approved by the CPSC.
