Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host, appeared carefree as he spent time with his wife in Boca Grande, Florida, only days after his abrupt resignation from Fox News. Despite enjoying his break from the TV network, Carlson appears unlikely to retire from the media just yet.
Carlson, 53, announced his departure from Fox News on Monday, despite being the network’s highest-rated prime-time personality. Fox News’ stock price plummeted as a result of this upheaval.
Carlson was fired from Fox News less than a week after the network settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million over the network’s reporting on election fraud, something Carlson frequently discussed on his show.
Carlson expressed his feelings about the current adjustment just two days after his surprise departure from Fox News. Carlson told the Daily Mail on Tuesday night as he entered his $5.5 million beach house, “Retirement is going great so far.”
“I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years,” he added. “Appetizers plus entree.”

Despite the fact that Carlson appears to be enjoying his spare time with his family, the father of four has prospective employment possibilities on the horizon.
Glenn Beck, CEO of Blaze Media and former Fox News personality, has suggested that he would like to hire Carlson. Jeremy Boreing, the founder of The Daily Wire, has also stated that he would make a job offer to Carlson.
Carlson reportedly met with Justin Wells, the former Tucker Carlson Tonight senior executive producer, on Tuesday.
However, while Carlson’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, is negotiating an exit agreement with Fox Corporation, he is unlikely to accept any employment offers.
Freedman also represents former CNN anchor Don Lemon, who was fired on the same day as Carlson. Lemon is suing for $125 million in wrongful termination damages.
