It’s sad to see how much crime has increased in America in recent years.
Democrats have demonized the police and defunded them in some cases. People in many cities cannot even count on the police to show up immediately following an emergency call.
As a result, the number of people carrying handguns just keeps going up.

The number of Americans regularly carrying handguns doubled in just 4 years
With the rate of violent crime increasing, the number of Americans regularly carrying a loaded handgun has spiked.
A study by the American Journal of Public Health published on Nov. 16 found that the number of Americans who carry a loaded handgun every day has doubled in just four years. Approximately 6 million Americans packed a gun daily in 2019 versus 3 million who did so in 2015.
There were 16 million adults in the U.S. who carried a handgun in the past month compared to 9 million in 2015.
“Between increases in the number of people who own handguns and the number of people who carry every day, there has been a striking increase in handgun carrying in the U.S.,” said lead study author Dr. Ali Rowhani-Rahbar – a professor of epidemiology at the University of Washington.
The study utilized data from the 2019 National Firearms Survey, which included nearly 2,400 U.S. handgun owners.
The study found that gun owners have shifted the main reason for having a gun from hunting to personal protection.
It certainly means good business for the gun industry.
