Conservatives are boycotting Jim Beam bourbon and donating money to pro-life organizations as retribution against actress Mila Kunis, who recently revealed she set up a recurring donation to Planned Parenthood under Mike Pence’s name, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
During an appearance on Conan last week, Bad Moms Christmas star Kunis, 34, explained that she has been peacefully protesting Pence’s Draconian anti-woman approach to reproduction. Donald Trump’s right-hand man has famously signed on to legislation that would have re-defined rape to keep women from having abortions in the case of sexual assault. As a congressman, he also introduced legislation that would consider a fertilized egg a person, and a bill that would have required women who’ve had abortions to cremate or bury the fetal tissue.
“I disagreed with some of the stuff that Pence was doing and was trying to do, and so as a reminder that there are women out there in the world who may or may not agree with his platform, I put him on a list of re-occurring donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood,” Kunis told Conan O’Brien. “Every month to his office, he gets a little letter that says an anonymous donation has been made in your name. I strongly disagree, and this is my little way of showing that. It’s a peaceful protest.”
Responding to Kunis, pro-lifers began posting on social media that not only were they switching their alcohol allegiance, but that they were making donations to pro-life outlets in her name.
