Christmas Burglary Attempted Goes Bad in “Home Alone” Style Capture….

A man tried to rob a neighborhood store in Gainesville, Georgia, early on Christmas morning, but his plan was foiled when he slid and struck his head on a patch of ice.

Luis Sajbocho-Ordonez, 30, was concealed behind El Gallo Mas Gallo Western Wear at 1 am on Christmas Day. According to reports, Sajbocho was waiting for a store employee to leave when he pulled a revolver on the worker. He insisted they give him money.

According to reports, the employee objected and fought Sajbocho. Sajbocho seemed alarmed when another employee quickly intervened and came out. The would-be thief pulled the trigger and attempted to flee, but his bullet missed its target and his escape path was less direct than he probably had intended.

Sajbocho didn’t get very far before he fell on an ice patch and slammed his head on the ground, suffering serious facial injuries. Witnesses acted swiftly and removed Sajbocho’s two firearms as they waited for the cops to arrive at the scene while he was down and hurt.

Sajbocho was still on the ground when the first responder got there. He received care on the spot and was subsequently driven to the Hall County Jail.

Armed robbery and severe violence were the charges brought against Sajbocho when he was transported to jail. According to the police, more charges could be brought.

Gainesville police described the event as being “like a scene from Home Alone,” a 1990s holiday film in which the bungling burglars suffer numerous wounds (including sliding on ice) before being apprehended.

The police department added, “Fortunately, no serious injuries occurred and the perp went to jail.”
