IRGC-Quds Force Commander General Qasem Soleimani told a group of Iranian soldiers in Al-Bukamal, Syria, that the United States forces are “cowards” and that their soldiers wore diapers in the battlefield so they could urinate when scared.
“Look at the American forces today. They are more than one million strong,” Soleimani said to the group, according to a video published on MEMRI TV. “But despite their numbers and their capabilities, they are cowards. When they arrived in Iraq, they brought diapers for their soldiers so that they could urinate in them when scared. You, on the other hand, have achieved victory with light weapons, Why? Because you are willing to make sacrifices.”
Soleimani said, “Our people is ready for martyrdom, and therefore, deserves victory.”
He added:
Why does God make the Iranian people victorious? Why does God give victory to the Islamic Republic today? I believe that the victories become bigger and that their scope increases every day. Neither America nor Saudi Arabia can harm this people. God wants this people to be victorious. They are nothing next to God’s will, because our people is ready for martyrdom, and therefore, deserves victory.
Soleimani’s remarks were reportedly posted online by the “Syrian Army’s Allies’ Operation Room” on November 26.
On November 28, Iranian state-run television, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), broadcast a video showcasing a 13-year-old child soldier who was sent to Syria to fight on behalf of dictator Bashar al-Assad, allegedly under the guidance of Soleimani.
The reporter claims Iran is “proud” to send its children to fight in the deadly civil war.
