STL Post Discrace Posts Livestream of COPS Death Before Next of Kin Notification

You know what usually happens with major media outlets when a soldier dies during deployment, or someone is tragically killed, or a fatal accident happens? Normal protocol for MOST main stream media outlets is to withhold the names of the victims until the notification of next of Kin out of respect for the Family. You know let someone break the news to the family who is wondering why their son or daughter is late coming home. That is the normal protocol. That is the honorable thing to do.

Well as you know earlier we reported about an officer involved shooting in which a north county cooperative officer lost his life.

Well it seems the St. Louis Post Disgrace had other plans and decided to share the link from the Wellston City Clerk live-streaming the death of Officer Langsdorf in his final moments on earth. We are sure his family is just fucking delighted that this clerk pulled out her phone capturing his last grasps on life as he bled out. Im sure they will be thrilled with that memory and being able to watch it again and again as it will probably surface later down the road.

Later the St. Louis Post Disgrace had this to say

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch made a serious error in judgment Sunday in its online coverage of the fatal shooting of North County Police Cooperative Officer Michael Langsdorf.

Our newspaper apologizes to the Langsdorf family, members of law enforcement and our readers for making a major mistake in covering a tragedy.

A store clerk at Clay’s Wellston Food Market Restaurant recorded the aftermath of the fatal shooting in which an armed suspect struggled with Officer Langsdorf. The clerk posted that video of the graphic shooting aftermath to Facebook Live and called police for help.

An editor, not a reporter, briefly posted a link to the Facebook Live video in an online story on STLtoday.com, then deleted it a short time later. The clerk later deleted the Facebook Live video.

According to F0x2 the store clerk who live-streamed the officers death states that she regrets doing it and that she doesn’t know why she did it. But it occurred shortly after she used the radio on his belt to call for help. She is now receiving death threats for the video.

Needless to say the entire situation is a fail on the clerks management and our local media. Just fucking shameful…
