Cop Takes “Gun Stolen From Car” report. Killed by the same gun hours later.

By being a lazy fucking schmuck and leaving your gun in your car you are killing cops. You are Killing store clerks. You are killing children. You are killing they guy walking down the street minding his own business just going home from work. If you’re going to carry a firearm. Carry your firearm. Some Gun owners have this pre-conceived notion that because their car locks it is okay to leave their firearm inside. This is simply not the case. Windows are easily shattered. Convertibles can be cut into. Sometimes door locks fail to engage. As RGOs (Responsible Gun Owners) it is your DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY to ensure your firearm is SECURE! There are many devices available on the market to mitigate the risks associated with leaving your firearm in the car. However the best method is to simply take your gun with you (Unless it is prohibited such as a federal building, school, post office, etc.)

If you have ever made a post to the local Facebook or craigslist classifieds bitching and whining because someone broke into your vehicle and stole you handgun you probably shouldn’t own a fucking firearm. Because it shows that you lack the proper training and common fucking sense to do so.

Thanks to some Idiot’s complacency in Kansas a family is now shattered because the father, a sheriffs deputy, was shot by a handgun that had been reported stolen from a vehicle earlier that day. He took the report and ultimately paid with his life.

According to the Wichita Eagle Sheriff Jeff Easter states that Deputy Kunze reported later that morning that a 40-caliber weapon was stolen from a vehicle in the 3300 block of West MacArthur. The black Chevy the suspect had been driving before the shooting had been reported stolen in the 3800 block of West MacArthur.

Honestly, How hard is it to take the extra 30 seconds to open the glove box or reach under your seat and holster your firearm before you walk inside? What valid excuse could you possibly give us that makes this type of complacency ok?

Even then there are a variety of products available on the market that can secure your weapon in your vehicle and still allows you access within seconds. While they do mitigate the risks involved with leaving your firearm you should still bring it inside as they are not always the most secure methods.  But… but… their expensive! So was that Sig that’s now on the east side being used in a drive-by… Way to go. The more you bring up safety or anything that mitigates dangerous situations the more people want to put a price-tag on it or bitch about the design.

If your worried about price or the function of a device then don’t leave your fucking gun in the car. Its act that is so simple and so easy that it can save so many lives.
