7-year-old alerts school officials to parents’ overdose deaths

Nobody talks about it around here. Not really.

I was a Paramedic in the City of McKeesport for years, and I can’t tell you how many over doses I have either saved or lost in that town. The drug problem in that town is rampant, and the police and ems are nearly overwhelmed.

The house where this occurred is actually just a few blocks from the ambulance station and just up from the hospital. Most people look at this headline and think, “how tragic..” or “scum bags, how could they do such a thing?”

Sadly, this type of event is an all too common happenstance in McKeesport.

WPXI Reports:

Investigators confirmed that the bodies of 26-year-old Christopher Dilly and 25-year-old Jessica Lally were found around 5 p.m. Monday in a home in the 900 block of Evans Avenue.
Police said there was no foul play involved and that they suspect Dilly and Lally died of a drug overdose.
Three other children, ages 9 months, 3 and 5, were also living in the home. They were all taken to a hospital to be evaluated and will be placed with Allegheny County Children Youth and Families, authorities said.
