In wake of the recent shooting gun control activist flock to down town LA to spout their pointless rhetoric as usual using the same talking points and emotions to try and infringe on every americans 2nd amendment rights. They are not afraid to focus on guns but shy aware from real issues based on the belief that they will offend or discriminate against someone. For example those who use psychoactive drugs. Why not address our broken mental health system, or how some schools put safety on the back burner instead of making it a priority, what about social media completely IGNORING THREATS!
Several groups in the Southland are hoping to turn tragedy into change with a rally in downtown Los Angeles on Monday against gun violence.
Grassroots movement Drain the NRA, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and members of the Everytown Survivor Network will hold the rally in the wake of last week’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 people dead.
The rally will urge lawmakers to make policy changes regarding gun laws and speak out against the National Rifle Association’s financial support of members of Congress.
The event will be held at Pershing Square in the 500 block of S. Olive Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 1,000 people have confirmed on Facebook that they will be attending the rally.
The rally is expected to be peaceful and family friendly.
