Hero LEOs Save Man Who Overdosed

Breaking 911 reports

“I became a cop to help people and I’m glad that we could be there to help this man,” said Police Officer Peroni.

Two police officers on the Upper East Side of Manhattan saved a man from a potentially fatal drug overdose last week. Police Officer Peroni and his partner Police Officer Garcia responded to a call of an unconscious man. When they arrived at East 91 Street and Second Avenue they observed a 22-year-old man slumped over a park bench and unresponsive.

Putting their training and experience to work the two officers determined that the man had overdosed on drugs. The duo quickly administered their Department-issued Naloxone spray to the unconscious man. He regained consciousness and was removed to Metropolitan Hospital for treatment.
