UN Gun Ban Treaty

So, with many eyes on Senator Cruz and his AWESOME FILIBUSTER, many people aren’t paying attention to the occurrences of today. Secretary John Kerry has signed the UN Arms trade treaty today. I have not heard a peep from the MSM (Main Stream Media) on this and I suspect we won’t hear much in the future.

This has been signed without congressional approval despite warnings to the president and others from Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., ranking member of the Foreign Relations Committee. “The treaty – which critics have warned could lead to draconian gun control measures in the United States – is based around preventing illicit global weapons transfers to terrorists and other rogue agents, but its language could easily be interpreted to infringe on Second Amendment rights domestically.” according to Paul Joseph Watson from Prison Planet.com http://www.prisonplanet.com/senator-warns-obama-not-to-implement-un-arms-treaty.html

I have to say that Barry and his boys are tenacious. They persist like a spoiled child demanding that they have their way. Despite the fact that 150 senators wrote a letter in May advising not to sign this treaty. Nope, they did it anyway. Now that being said I know that Congress still has to approve this, but let’s say that it get’s shot down on Capitol Hill; Barry is just going to sign one of his executive orders and try to make it a “royal proclamation”.

Let’s go “Tin foil hat brigade” for a moment. Let’s say that this is part of a huge global corporate run new world order. Do you really think that the UN troops stand a chance against the MILLIONS of legal gun owners? We’re not going to pave the way for a New World Order invasion by surrendering our arms to the Obama regime or any of the UN smurfs that would follow.

I served on a base with some of these guys overseas. All the UN smurfs were good for was getting captured and beating on civilians. Oh, and getting drunk and then trying to pick fights with US Marines. Yea, they lost.

The Senate hopefully will shoot this down. I am not too hopeful though, they can’t even get the 2nd Amendment right on their web site.

The Supreme Court has ruled that it does. But you might be confused if you visit theofficial Senate web page on the Constitution, which says only: “Whether this provision protects the individual’s right to own firearms or whether it deals only with the collective right of the people to arm and maintain a militia has long been debated.”

That particular wording was posted on the Senate website in 2009, based on archived web pages at The Internet Archive. However, that’s one year after the Supreme Court ruled: “The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense.”

So the Senate can’t even get that right. Kind of like the MSM said that the DC Navy yard shooter was carrying an AR15.

Anti- Gun nuts are even more riled up now too. After the DC shooting (still waiting for a list of names and ranks by the way) and Obama’s use of the memorial service for his own political agenda; these people still want to ban guns. Saying that GUN FREE ZONES will deter criminals with weapons. Not so much, but people like this man
