Subway Shootout Caught on Bodycam! Video

San Francisco police release bodycam footage of officer fatally shooting knifeman, 26, inside a Subway

  • Police officer Cha fired a single shot at Nicholas Flusche on May 3
  • Flusche repeatedly stabbed a Subway worker for not giving him a free sandwich
  • The 26-year-old died after being shot by police at the San Francisco shop 
  • Surveillance and body cam footage of the incident shows how passers-by tried to pull him off the victim before police arrived
  • Cha fired his gun at him after he ran past him with the knife stil in his hand  


Flusche’s knife fell out of his hand as he hit the ground and landed on a mat next to the officer. He died at the scene.

It is not yet known what he was doing in California. His family have raised more than $10,000 online to bring his body back to Texas for his funeral.

Surveillance footage captured the moments before police arrived.

Flusche stood hunched over the side of the counter as the victim worked. He suddenly let himself in through a side door, launching at the worker with the knife in one hand.

He was filmed repeatedly slashing him as the pair fell to the floor. Some frightened customers fled the scene.

One woman, who was on the other side of the counter when Flusche stormed behind it, ran in after him and tried to pull him off the victim.
