St. Louis Police Officers GEAR UP For Grand Jury Decision – Many shop at Tactical Shit

According to KTVI Fox 2 in St. Louis, many St. Louis City, County and Municapal officers are purchasing new gear in preparations for the expected “Not Guilty” verdict in the Officer Darren Wilson hearings regarding the shooting of Mike Brown in Ferguson.

We know this very well as our store has local officers in it shopping daily looking into Armor and Armor Carriers as well as other tactical essentials.  Why do they buy it from Tactical Shit?  Simple, most of the over 90 small departments in St. Louis County do NOT issue riot gear or hard armor and carriers.  Standard issue Level IIIA soft body armor is all that is supplied by departments to non SWAT personel.

Local Officers are ordering Kits Like this accept with POLICE patches and no bone gloves.

You won’t see any of our gear in OD Green, Kryptek or Multi Cam since the Govenor and State Highway Patrol have pushed a ban on Camouflage gear for local Law Enforcement including SWAT Units.  Officers will be in Blue or Brown and Black.

Today we learned via Twitter that local Fire Stations in and around Ferguson have begun “Pre Boarding” their windows.  Rumor has it that the decision will be released on November 12th after Veterans Day and the Mid Term Elections.  This begs the question that, if true, why would you not make the announcement on Veterans Day when stores would be closed?

We are currently offering near cost pricing on body armor, carriers and tactical gears to local law enforcement.  Here is more from KTVI:

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) _ Missouri police have been buying new gear and getting trained on constitutional rights as they prepare for a grand jury decision on whether to charge a white policeman in the shooting death of a black 18-year-old.

A grand jury announcement could come within the next month, though no specific date is set.

Law enforcement officials are hoping to avoid violent clashes between protesters and police similar to those that occurred after Ferguson officer Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown on Aug. 9.

Police have adjusted tactics for interacting more peacefully with protesters while also honing procedures for quick, widespread arrests. They are planning to have a large contingent of officers ready, but also have been meeting with clergy, community leaders and students in hopes of building relationships that could ease tensions.
