Two Marines Brutally Attacked by Mob of High Schoolers

A revolting video depicting two US Marines being attacked by a group of high school students on a California beach is going viral on social media.

After one of the Marines was struck in the face by a firework and asked the gathering of high students on the beach to leave as a result, the attack started.

Instead of complying with the marine’s order, the gang of high school students chose to attack the two marines and trample them once they were on the ground.

Here is when the attack started:

Here is more from Fox 11 News:

The melee began about 9:15 p.m. Friday near the pier located at the end of Avenida del Mar, and OCSD deputies responded to the site, according to sheriff’s spokesman Mike Woodroof.

The pair of Marines were treated at the scene for minor injuries to their hands, knees, abdomens and heads, but they refused to go to a hospital, Woodroof said.

It’s unclear how many people attacked the two men, but Woodroof said the number was likely somewhere between 10 and 30.

A minute-long video which has circulated online captured the brawl. In the video the Marines are seen on the ground trying to shield themselves from the attack.

The brawl appears to come to an end after two individuals, a man and a woman, step in, telling the group to stop, the station reported.

The New York Post got the scoop too:

Shocking video has captured a mob of up to 40 teens viciously beating a trio of off-duty Marines who say they’d merely asked them to stop lighting fireworks on a California beach.

The now-viral footage shows the Marines — enjoying time off for Memorial Day weekend — being followed by the baying mob while walking toward San Clemente Pier Bowl late Friday.

“We told them we were Marines so they would leave — but they didn’t. They just kept going at it,” one of the attacked servicemen, Hunter Antonino, told KCAL News.

As they start walking up some steps, some in the group behind yell for them to “get the f–k outta here” — before one runs up from behind and sucker-punches the trailing serviceman.

After a brief hesitation, the Marine drops what’s in his hand and charges at his attacker, knocking him down.

The kids are out of control and I lay this behavior solely on the parents.

Do you agree?
