Ticket Tuesday – Did You Get Caught?

St. Louis police issue 194 tickets Tuesday during enforcement event

Fox2news Writes

St. Louis police had a busy day on the streets Tuesday, handing out 194 tickets for violations that stemmed from 101 traffic stops.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says officers were involved in a high-visibility traffic enforcement initiative on Tuesday, leading to the spike in tickets.

Police primarily pulled over drivers around parts of three streets: South Kingshighway (near Chippewa), Tower Grove (near Magnolia) and South Grand (near Arsenal).

Among the tickets issued, police say more than half were for non-hazardous violations (like seatbelt violations and suspended licenses) and around 70 were for hazardous violations (like speeding an improper lane usage).

“We will continue to conduct these enforcement efforts at various locations throughout the City of St. Louis,” said SLMPD in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

Police did not disclose how many of these traffic stops might have led to arrests.
