This will be a substantial boon to patrol officers in almost every environment. The Canooter Valve is a sub compact suppressor designed specifically for law enforcement patrol rifles. Their goal was to develop a suppressor that protected the officer’s hearing, yet didn’t add a detachable item to the individual officer’s responsibility chain. The Canooter Valve can be permanently installed on a standard 5.56 patrol rifle without interfering with vehicle mounting or storage units. Unlike many suppressors, the Canooter Valve doesn’t over pressurize a Direct Impingement gas system, resulting in little to no blow back through the charging handle into the officer’s eyes. This allows for an unimpeded view of the situation during actively evolving situations. During an active event, the patrol officer is generally the first on scene, as such, the first responder. In an already confusing situation the officer needs the tactical advantage of that his/her patrol rifle provides. In addition, there is a certain amount of psychological advantage to the concussive force and volume being directed towards the threat. The idea behind this system was to give the officer that tactical advantage while remaining hearing safe at the officer’s ear.
