State trooper is shot and nearly killed after taser fails!*GRAPHIC*

Pennsylvania State Trooper Seth Kelly was shot and almost killed during what started off as a routine traffic stop, The squad car dash cam recorded the entire event. The police pulled over 22-year-old Daniel Clary and instantly noticed that he was extremely impaired. Clary failed field sobriety test and begins to resist as the officers attempted to arrest him.

As the wrestling match escalates, the officers use a taser on Clary, which seems to only work for a short time, and soon he slips out of the officers grasps. He runs around the front of the vehicle and quickly retrieves his hand gun and opens fire.

Trooper Kelly is shot in the neck as well as femoral artery and he dives behind the gaurd rail for cover as Clary gets back into his car and speeds off. Kelly applied his own tourniquet at the scene before help arrives, but responders find him clinically dead upon arrival

Miraculously, after spending 12 days in a coma, Kelly survives is brought back managing to escape death. Clary, also wounded in the exchange of gunfire, checked himself into a nearby hospital where he was taken into custody and is facing attempted murder charges!

According to CBS news Forty-six law enforcement officers were shot and killed in 2017 in the line of duty. One near-fatal encounter was caught on camera.
