The SU-25 frog foot is basically Russias flying tank aka their version of the A10. Granted its no where near as good and lacks the BRRRTTTT but still provides some interesting video. The SU-25 features and 25 millimeters of armored plating wrapped around the cockpit and the fuel tanks. The reason for this armor is so that the aircraft can fly low to avoid SAMs but one drawback is that it will take fire from anti aircraft guns.
The video appears to take place at about 1000 feet AGL which would back the “Low and Slow” theory and the need for armor.
Throughout the video the fighters can be seen engaging various targets. A few of them (The missiles launched that have the motors firing off to the sides) even seem to be guided aka the russian equivalent of a T.O.W. missile.
