Hot Hand Guns Of Shot Show Range Day 2025

Industry Day at the Range is always one of our favorite parts of SHOT Show in Las Vegas, and 2025 did not disappoint. It was quite the showing, with everything from red-dot revolvers and sleek suppressors to KelTec’s trippy stripper-clip-fed rotary-barrel PR57 handgun chambered in 5.7mm NATO. We haven’t seen a gun quite like that one since – well, before George Kellgren founded KelTec in 1991.

KelTec PR57 Pistol
If we’re being honest, KelTec’s exciting but borderline bizarre rotary-barrel P57 stole a lot of attention in the handgun arena this year. This thing has an internal magazine that can be loaded from the top using either stripper clips or just loose ammo. (Photo: Chris Eger/Guns.com)
KelTec PR57 Pistol
Before even founding KelTec in 1991, George Kellgren developed the stripper-clip-fed proto-KelTec Grendel P10/P30. Now, KelTec has revived the concept with the innovative rotary-barrel PR57 chambered for the zippy 5.7mm NATO. (Photo: Chris Eger/Guns.com)
FN Reflex XL MRD Pistol
FN offered up the highly concealable FN Reflex XL MRD pistol complete with micro red dot for our range testing. The XL blends concealability with a user-friendly size for improved range performance. (Photo: Chris Eger/Guns.com)

Red Dot Handguns
From micro pistols to full-size tactical affairs, red-dot mania has taken over the pistol world. Here’s a peek at just a fraction of the pistols sporting red dots that we saw at range day this year, from the Beretta 20X Bobcat and Smith & Wesson revolvers to KelTec’s new PR57 and Beretta’s 92X. Colt’s Grizzly and Kodiak revolvers got some hard use on the range. Naturally, they were also sporting red dots this year. (Photo: Alexander Reville/Guns.com)
