Criminals are stupid—all of them. By breaking the law, they are all mentally irregular. I don’t care what anyone says. If you are willing to potentially risk your freedom and your future just because you want to steal for a living instead of work, you lack basic intelligence. Period.
The proof to back up my argument comes from a man who flashed around a shotgun during an attempted robbery of a convenience store and then bragged about being from Chicago just before getting arrested. I don’t think many will disagree with my assessment that this man is a moron.
No doubt this guy is already upset at being caught committing his crime. But what’s going to make his blood boil is when he hears the message that the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office had to say to him: “You’re not in Chicago anymore.”
That, my friends, is throwing some much-needed salt on the gaping wound of this man’s ego. The incident in question happened on September 9. However, surveillance video of the situation that unfolded between the clerk and the suspect was just recently released.

On September 27 WKRG reported that 32-year-old Rakim Stephen Tate entered the store with a shotgun “and started to look around.” The clerk was not at the cash register because he had gone back to get his own gun. The clerk then returned to the register while pointing a gun at Tate.
Tate kept the shotgun pointed at the floor and said, “I don’t mean no harm, I’m just not from around here.” The clerk responded by asking Tate what he was carrying, and Tate said, “I got a big a** motherf**king gun. I’m just not from around here. I’m from Chicago.”
FOX 10 noted that Tate asked the clerk what he was holding and the clerk said, “It’s a .45.”
The incident footage shows Tate turning around and walking out of the store. He was later arrested in Santa Rosa County.
Again, I just can’t figure out why young men like this choose a life of crime. It’s just stupid to do this sort of thing. But worse is when they repeat their mistakes and simply refuse to learn their lesson and keep working on it repeatedly. This defies logic.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office stated that Tate “was charged with openly carrying a prohibited weapon and attempted robbery with a firearm. The Benelli shotgun used in this robbery attempt was also recovered.”
The office then commented on Tate’s apprehension by saying, “You’re not in Chicago anymore; you’re under arrest.”
