CMMG rolls out an all-new rifle, the MkW ANVIL XLR2, chamebred in the power-packing 6.5 Grendel.

Offering a 22-inch medium tapered barrel, the mid-sized AR pushes the 6.5 Grendel round out to 800 yards. Utilizing the ANVIL’s Powerbolt design, created by CMMG, the rifle functions with a modified AR-10 sized bolt which allows it to tackle larger rounds with increased durability.

The ANVIL’s upper receiver has been shortened by three quarters of an inch in order to minimize weight while offering a more ergonomic approach to this AR-15 platform. The 43-inch rifle sports amenities such as a Geissele Automatics SSA 2-Stage Trigger, fully ambidextrous CMMG changing handle and safety selector, CMMG SV Muzzle Brake and RML 15 M-LOK Handguard. In addition, the rifle is equipped with a Magpul MOE Pistol Grip and PRS Stock.

“The 6.5 Grendel is a great round. It has very minimal recoil. It is also flat shooting out to 500 yards and beyond.
