In retaliation to his banning from YouTube James Yeager from Tactical Response has taken to kickstarter to ask his followers for funds so he can create his own social media platform LiberTV. Mr. Yeager wants you to send him money to do so. He claims the site would be filled with content, videos, blogs and would be a place where free speech is not limited. One other idea he articulates to his audience is that on top of all the free content the site would feature a pay site for all his high quality content.

Risks and challenges
Short term I risk embarrassment and in the long term we miss out on the ability to say things that are not popular even though they are true. We CAN do this. We CAN build a community of like minded folks. It is my mission. I will not fail.
However, There is one tiny little problem with James Yeager’s idea. These places already exist! And, guess what? You don’t have to pay for them! Here’s just a couple examples that we know of. Take for instance, United Gun Group!
United Gun Group, is a pro second amendment social market place that allows its members to decide what legal behavior they engage in related to firearms. Like Facebook United Gun Group allows you to create a profile, add friends, join groups and create pages for businesses and organizations. The site features a classified section for firearms and gear. In addition to the classifieds section there is also a auction page. And like Facebook or YouTube United Gun Group features a video sharing channel that allows members to create their own video channel and upload their videos. United Gun Group definitely seems to have this one in the bag and is quite a few steps ahead of James Yeager.

While we understand were Yeager is coming from it appears that he wants, more so, to be in control of the content on his site than what he claims he wants to create. His biggest hurdle is going to be convincing the 2A community to pay him if the other options that already exist are free of charge.
