A Veteran of the U.S. Army, and having served an overseas deployment for OEF in Afghanistan 2013, Mason and his crew at Helheim have come up with some pretty amazing games that are quickly becoming a household name in the U.S. Among them, “SURVIVE”

A Zombie Apocalypse card game that is faction based. Play as the Zombie Horde, Raiders or even the Nazi-esque anti zombie militia. The fascinating concept of the game, is that “there are no heroes…” Mason says. Now Mason has partnered up with Veteran owned Irregular Mischief Publications and the tag team is bringing “SURVIVE”  to the realm of graphic novels.

The Survive graphic novel series is written by Mason J. Mullins and Illustrated by Sarene Lucyk.

Survive takes you eighteen years after modern society has lost the battle against an stoppable disease called “The Blistering Flu” and the merciless dead that are a product of the virus. The united states is nothing more than a withered husk of its once former glory. The once proud skylines of her great cities are just decaying remnants of a lost era. Shattered cities have been claimed by nature and the wandering dead.

The Survive story began as a zombie apocalypse themed strategy card game, with a strong focus on faction orientation called Survive – Apocalyptic Horror Game. The initial back story was written to help breath some additional life into the cards, and create a solid platform for the story mode in the android application version of the game (currently in beta).

With this project and more on the way from the partnership between Helheim and IMP, we can’t wait to see what they do next. Here’s a hint, they’re making a video game too.
