Who would have thought there was an acronym used in f*cked up situations. FUBAR stands for F*cked Up Beyond All Recognition, started being used way back in the day World War II days. Military slang that can be softened up to “Fouled up beyond all recognition” and sometimes the R can stand for recovery, repair, or reason.
Men in military would use FUBAR to describe a person, a mission, or the state of intoxication one is in.
Here are some examples using FUBAR:
– This mission is FUBAR
– Oh MY GOD! That tank is FUBAR!
– How drunk did I get last night? Man you were FUBAR.
Next time you’re in a messed up situation, throw your people off by using FUBAR and then go ahead take one for the team and explain WTF FUBAR means.
