Focus on the Good Shit-Three Beards

Three Beards, a strange name for a band with 5 guys, kinda like how the drummer in ZZ Top’s last name was Beard but he was clean shaven.  Don’t let it distract you.

Hank Barbe, vocalist of Three Beards and I met at the screening of #Notawarstory   outside, away from the shoulder to shoulder hob knobbing of the elite guest list.  He introduced himself as Hank, and told me that he was in a band.  I was trying to figure out where I remembered his name and then it hit me This was the same Barbe from Anatomy of a Medevac , which was a piece that Time magazine did in 03 about DUSTOFF medics in South Eastern Iraq.

Three Beards is composed of 5 dudes, who are as follows:

They make music, and love veterans.  Hank told me that he PREFERS to go to veteran events rather than regular music concerts, the reason why is simple, FAMILY.  The vibe given off when a bunch of guys are together is one unlike any other.  Just the instant acceptance, and comradery given makes every one of their shows special.  The write their OWN music, not to be defined in words like COUNTRY, or ROCK, but Hank did say that he sees Three Beards as a Rock band.

Boone Cutler, an author, columnist, music video director and Warfighter Rights leader. Who holds the distinguished honor of being the first nationally recognized radio talk show personality who is also a combat veteran from the current war.  Heard their song “Lesson Learned” and propelled them into the public spotlight.  3 Beards sound is one that vets can relate too as well.  The band gives back to their Veteran fans as well,   So much so that 100% of their proceeds from the song “Lesson Learned” gets donated to veteran charities, like the ReGroup Foundation.  Which is a national “hybrid” nonprofit founded with the mission of preventing the struggles of our military service members by engaging with them as they exit service,  giving them a FREE place to live for 18 months while they complete a 3 phase transition program .

You can purchase their music on iTunes and Amazon, and do so now, because in a few weeks they will be bringing us a new EP.  Check em out on their Facebook Page, and listen to their song on REVERB NATION, and utube.  Also Check out their instagram
