Delta Flight Returns To Seattle Under Military Escort After Passenger Tried To Enter Cockpit

A Delta Flight from Seattle to Beijing returned to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Thursday night after a crazed passenger attempted to enter the plane’s cockpit.

The plane, a twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER, landed safely under a military escort.

According to CNN, at least two passengers and a crew member were injured during the incident on Delta flight 129 as passengers helped detain the suspect.

The unidentified person was being questioned by police.

Detla Airlines released the following statement: “Flight 129 returned to Seattle following a security incident with a passenger. The passenger was restrained onboard and was removed from the flight by law enforcement without further incident when the aircraft arrived back in Seattle. The flight is scheduled to re-depart for Beijing later this evening.”
