Why 500 S&W Mosin Nagant? Because F*** you thats why!

We’ve seen the m1 garand re-barreled in  .458 Winchester well according to an article from The FirearmBlog the guys over at tromix did the same thing with a rifle from the other side of the pond. The popular Mosin Nagant and from the looks of things it looks like a blast to shoot!

The FirearmBlog Writes

The .500 S&W Magnum (12.7×41mm SR) is a fifty-caliber semi-rimmed handgun cartridge developed by Cor-Bon in partnership with the Smith & Wesson engineering team.

In an 8.38″ (21.3 cm) revolver with a .500 S&W Magnum cartridge it produces an astonishing 2600 ft/lb. of muzzle energy. The Model S&W500 is still the most powerful production revolver in the world today.

How the cartridge will perform in a rifle I don’t know, but it’s a serious package for sure.

Tromix Lead Delivery Systems (I love that company name!) re-barreled a Mosin Nagant in 500 Smith & Wesson, and you can see the result in the pictures.

It isn’t the first odd product from Tromix. If you haven’t seen the Tromix Dueling .358 SOCOM Rifle or the Siamese M16 Twin Mag Dump then you should take a first (or second) look.

According to Tromix the challenge is not the re-barreling, but to get the magazine working.
